What can we say, Cachi has utterly charmed us into a state of marvelous idleness. And so, after a late night laughing and talking with Gerardo and Lucilia, while sharing a bottle of our wine from the Valle de Uco and bottle of their wine from Cafayate, and a leisurely breakfast this morning again laughing and talking with our new friends from Buenos Aires, we have decided to spend one more night in Cachi. One of the wonderful women who works at the small hotel smiled at me this morning after I asked if the room was free for just one night (we meant only to spend one night here!) and said with a warm laugh….”otra noche mas por ustedes?”.
Yes indeed, otra noche mas en Cachi por nosotros! And so, we will spend the day reading in the sun, sipping more torrontes, nibbling on more local goat cheese, and perhaps biking or running in the valley….oh yes, and deciding whether to get to Bolivia via a 26-hour bus journey or to fly!
As always, more soon.
